By offering quality goods for competitive prices, the German giants changed the UK grocery market. In the last decade, they have more than doubled their sales and despite missing the online sales boom during the peak of the pandemic, both supermarkets recorded growth and still aim to open up new stores. Recently, Aldi and Lidl have adapted their creative strategies to shift the focus to quality, which included Aldi sponsoring The Great British Bake Off and Lidl changing their strap-line.
